I've seen her smile a thousand times -

in dreams — sleeping or awake.

I've kissed her and felt her kisses

warm my face.

I've held her hand for only moments

but I hold it still.

Love's Journey

The sequel to The Butterfly & The Snail, Wedding Tales, Book One: Love's Journey, continues where B&S left off. Khalil Khoury takes a big step and leaves his studies as a Jesuit behind. The guests flee in all directions.

Rebecca's family makes it back to their hotel close to the church without incident. Khalil's family who either flew in from California and Detroit or drove from various places in northeast and western Pennsylvania, were either snowed in at Khalil's sister's house or caught in the storm.

Both families, realizing they are snowed in for the duration, agree to tell tales about how Rebecca's ancestors immigrated to America from northern Germany and Khalil's ancestors immigrated from Lebanon. The Tales contain romance, intrigue, treachery and humor.
